Alex Franklin Green was born to the late Alex Franklin Green and Frankie Morse Green. He was raised by his grandmother, Anne Brown, lovingly called Ma Brown.
Alex and Mary Denard Green were united in holy matrimony on July 10, 1958. To this union seven (7) children were born: Gwen, Jacquelyn, Murry, Evelyn, Pam, Alexander, and Anthony. Three children preceded him in death: Jacquelyn, Anthony, and Alexander Green. His Grandmother, Anna Brown, and his mother, Frankie Morse Green also preceded him in death.
Alex was employed with Beaty Ford for two years. Afterward, he worked for Boyd Brothers in Clayton, AL, for 25 years. After moving to Bradenton, FL, he was employed with Tropicana for 11 years and Enterprise Rental Car for two years.
Alex Green joined the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. William Armstead served as pastor. Upon retiring, the Greens moved back to their home in Clayton, AL, where he joined Elam Baptist Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor E. C. Holt.
After eight years battling illnesses, he passed on January 12, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mary Green; his children: Gwen Abdulkareem (Kansas City, MO), Murry Green (Dallas, TX), Evelyn Green (Huntsville, AL), Pam (Robert) Condrey (Eufaula, AL); Avenia (Porter) Conly (Clayton, AL), Danny Grey (Clayton, AL), Tresa Sewell (Abbeville, AL); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
