Billy Joe Thomas

One late night, right before morning, the Lord sent His most trusted angels on a mission.  That mission was to go down to the hospital and rescue one of His children.  Those angels carried Billy Joe Thomas to his eternal home on October 28, 2022.

Billy was the 7th born of the late Logie and Mae Bell Thomas.  Billy was born in a little town called Edwin, Alabama.  Billy’s siblings nicknamed him Bump.  Around the same time in his life, he joined Friendship Baptist Church in Clopton AL and later he joined St. Michael AME Church of Edwin.  After attending the Henry County Training School, Billy went on his journey of life; he lived in Trenton NJ, Miami FL and later returned to his birth hometown. He exercised his right to marry once and fathered twice.

Billy founded dancing was his favorite thing to do, along with cooking, which he did both very well.

Billy was preceded in death by his Parents Logia & Mae Bell, Sisters Mary Peterman and Cassie Anglin, Brothers, Charlie, Rodell, Logie and James Thomas

Although Billy journey has ended, his legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends he left behind.  Those memories will be cherished by his two sons Billy J Thomas of Trenton NJ and Joey Thomas of Ozark AL. One grandson Trenton Thomas ,  Three siblings Ida Taylor, Marion Thomas , Edwin, AL; Ella (Ronald) Washington, Miami Gardens, FL; Two Sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Thomas, Ozark, AL, and  Debra Thomas Trenton, NJ. Billy also leaves a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
