Elizabeth Danzey Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Walker Danzey was born to the late Velma Walker and James Walke.  God called her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

At an early age, Elizabeth joined Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church.  She graduated from Louisville High School in 1987.  She met the love of her life, Willie Danzey at Franklin Hardwood in Abbeville, Alabama, in 1988.  Elizabeth was married to the late Willie Danzey.  She was a loving wife to her husband.  She has one son, Kalvin Jamal Walker.  She delivered for The Dothan Eagle and was known to many as “The Paper Lady”.  She was an excellent and loving mother to her son.  She was also a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren.  She was employed at Oakview Manor for 5 years, until her passing.  Elizabeth loved music and her favorite scripture in the Bible was Psalms 23.  She was a very sweet and loving person to everyone and she never met a stranger. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Willie Danzey; her parents: Velma Walker and James Walker; her brothers: Henry Nelson and Joseph Nelson; Sister-in-law: Mary Joe Nelson; and two special nephews: Kendrick” Ken” Nelson and Tony Walker.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving and devoted son: Kalvin Walker and his fiancé Jeanette Burks; two grandchildren: Braylen Walker and Jamarian Walker; one sister: Mary (Grady) Richards of Troy, Alabama; three brothers: Pastor Sammie (Sherri) Nelson of Louisville, Alabama, James (Valerie) Walker of Dothan, Alabama, and Deacon Earl (Betty) Walker of Texasville, Alabama; father-in-law: Willie (Rosie) Lynn of Abbeville, Alabama; sisters-in-law: Shirley Jones, Celicia Kelly, Angie Lynn, and Michelle (Reggie) Coxson all of Abbeville, Alabama; two brothers-in-law: Terrell Lynn and Mickey Kelly; one uncle: Ralph King of Daytona Beach, Florida; three special nieces: Pam Walker Blackmon, Latrell Walker Baxter and Angel Nelson Rogers; one special nephew: Patrick Walker; four special friends: Mary Anne Lawson, Lanita Curry, Chekara German, and Henry Jordan; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
