On June 27, 2023, Mr. Irvin Horne transitioned into his eternal rest.
Mr. Irvin Horne was born to the late Nathan Young and the late Ruby Dean Horne (the late Rev. J.E. Mulkey).
Mr. Horne attended and graduated from G.W. Long High School in May of 1971. After graduating high school, he joined the US Army, in which, he served 3 years and was honorably discharged in 1991.
Mr. Horne was a Roll Tide screaming, hounds tooth wearing, devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan for many years.
Mr. Horne was preceded in death by; his parents: Nathan Young, Ruby Young, and Rev. J.E. Mulkey; one brother: Kevin Mulkey; one sister: Willie Lee Horne; and one son: Jonathan Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loyal and devoted wife of 47 years: Cubie Smith-Horne of Clopton, AL; one daughter: Latonya Danzey (Jason) of Headland, AL; two sons: Dexter Smith of Clopton, AL and Irvin Horne, Jr (XyLenia) of Midland City, AL.
He also leaves; five brothers: Johnny Mack Horne (Mary Ann) of Dothan, AL, Henry Horne (Freda) of Geneva, AL, Kenneth Horne (Valerie) of Montgomery, AL, Cedric Horne of Ozark, AL and Gregory Horne (Carrie) of Ozark, AL; two sisters: Cynthia Horne and Karen Goldsmith (Joseph) both of Ozark, AL;
Mr. Horne also leaves sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends to continue his legacy.
