James Daffin Obituary

The angels of heaven descended to earth late Sunday evening on April 10, 2022, to deliver Bro. James Lee Daffin to our heavenly Father.  He was born in Barbour County, AL to George and the late Thelma Daffin.

James lived in Louisville, AL and at an early age he joined Clio First Missionary Baptist Church in Clio, AL, where he was a faithful member until his untimely death.

He was married to Betty Ann Daffin, who preceded him in death, for 43 years and to this union they were blessed with four children: Jermaine Daffin of Abbeville, AL, Pastor Kalvin (Glenda) Daffin, Stephanie (Trent) Rumph, and Brian Daffin all of Louisville, AL. They had three very special children that James and Betty raised as their own: Gary “Bean” Daffin, Tashika Ramsey, and Endreia “Shan” Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories; nine grandchildren: Malaysia, TayShawn, Taiwan, Azadia, TyAsia, Zykeyvion, Azaria, Shaniyah, and Kyrie; one great grandchild: Spain; five sisters and seven brothers: Sarah (Robert) Steward, Rosie Daffin, Annie Bell Daffin, Gloria (Charles) Grubbs, Brenda (James) Bennett, Jerry (Linda) Daffin, Earnest (Mary Jane) Daffin all of Louisville, AL, Bobby Daffin of Ozark, AL, Willie “Fred” (Teresa) Daffin, Willie “Charles” Daffin of Louisville, AL Andrew (Mae Frances) Ozark, AL and Billy McCray of Appleton, WI; one brother & one sister preceded him in death: Sarah A. McCoy and George Robert Daffin; nine sisters & brothers-in-law: Betty Jean Daffin, Rena Blackmon both of Clio, AL, Mary (William) Blackmon of Louisville, AL, Ira “Joe” King of Clio, AL, Lillian (Joe) Freeman of Ozark, AL, Alice King, Robert (Tyko) King both of Troy, AL, Chris  (Fred) McCrae of Clio, AL Mae King  of Eufaula, AL, and Lisa (Jerome) Burke of Charlotte, NC; a very special thanks to his daughter-in-law GlendaDaffin and his sister and brother-in-law Willie “Rex and Johnnie Danzey who stood by his side until the end; three special cousins: Annie Floyd, Dennis Faulk, and Betty Faulk; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
