God called and claimed an Angel on September 2, 2020, at Dale Medical Center, Ozark, Alabama.
Mrs. Lola Mae Rhymes was born to the late Lillie Pearl Johnson (Jackson) and Roosevelt Thomas.
She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend; She loved cooking, sewing, fishing, and lending a helping hand to others. Lola was also a second mother to her nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lola Mae Rhymes joined New Bethel Baptist Church at a young age.
She was preceded in death by; her late husband: Willie Rhymes; mother and father: Lillie Pearl Johnson (Jackson) and Roosevelt Thomas.
Mrs. Lola Mae Rhymes leaves her love and precious memories; her only sister: Myrtle James of Louisville, Alabama; two nieces: Johnnie “Janice” (Dennis) Spain of Chesapeake, Virginia and Wanda (Wilbert) Thornton of Union Springs, Alabama; one nephew: Robert Jackson of Louisville, Alabama; seven great nieces and nephews: Dennis (Sepi) Spain, Jr., Michael (Cassandra) Spain, LaDon Jackson, Tara Spain, LaWanda (James) Glenn, Terrance (Joselyn) Jackson, and Patrick Belcher; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; one special friend: Ruthie Mae Walker; and one special cousin: Margret Pipes.
