Lonnie Charles Hobdy

Lonnie (The Party Starter) Charles Hobdy was born in Louisville, Alabama to L. C. and Maudie B. Hobdy.  He graduated from Louisville High School where he was popular with everyone he met.  At an early age he joined Salem Baptist Church.   He worked at Columbus Mills, until he retired.

Lonnie was loved by everyone, and always had a joke for you.  Lonnie enjoyed making people laugh and entertaining his family and friends. If Lonnie was around he was going to make sure everyone had a great time. The Party Starter!!!

He is preceded in death by his father, L. C. Hobdy, and his brother Billy Ray (Pete) Hobdy.

On July 12, 2020, he answered the call and leaves to cherish his loving mother: Maudie Bee Hobdy; one daughter Kahdra Hobdy:  four brothers:  David Hobdy (Sharon Hobdy), Larry Jackson, Lawrence Jackson, Emmanuel Jackson; one sister: Susan Hobdy;  Loving and caring friends Katie Bell Greenwood, David Helms and Wille Mae Allen ; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, love ones and friends.
