Rena King Blackmon was born to James L. King and Gertrude McElroy King, in Clayton, AL.
At an early age, she joined St. Peter Baptist Church in Texasville, AL and later joined the Clio First Missionary Baptist Church in Clio, AL. She also attended Just Jesus Ministries until her untimely death.
Rena was preceded in death by her; father and mother: James L. King and Gertrude McElroy King; one sister: Betty Ann Daffin; two brothers: James King Jr. and Willie Roy King.
Lady departed her life on May 20, 2023 at her home in Brundidge, AL.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; ex-husband: Johnny B. Blackmon of Clio, AL; four children: Jacqueline R. Blackmon of Brundidge, AL, Audrey C. Blackmon of Clio, AL, Shauntavia T. Blackmon of Phoenix, AZ, and Kyndrike R. King of Eufaula, AL; a very special nephew: JaKyrion Flowers; seven sisters: Mary (William) Blackmon of Louisville, AL, Lillian (Joe) Freeman of Ozark, AL, Allie King Flowers of Troy, AL, Chris (Fred) McCrae of Clio, AL, Johnnie (Rex) Danzey of Abbeville, AL, Mae King of Eufaula, AL, Lisa (Jerome) Burk of Charlotte, NC; two brothers: Ira Joe King of Clio, AL and Robert (Tyko) King of Brundidge, AL; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
