Sherman “SW” Williams was born to Sherman and Catherine Williams, in Eufaula, AL.
Sherman was educated at Van Burren Elementary School and then went on to TV McCoo High School. He was employed at various jobs before he became disabled.
At an early age he confessed Christ at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Sherman Williams and Catherine Dennis Williams; and one grandson: Raheem Williams.
A Time to Love – SW, as he was known by all, leaves to cherish his memories ten children: Sherman (Shawnta) Stubbs, Angela Michelle Willliams, Franchestaca Williams Murray, DeShawn Reese (Jeffery), Charles (Kesha) Williams, Katherine (Chris) York, Oscar Cartwright, Andy Cartwright, Sherika (Arthur) Lewis, and Aubree Williams; a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; five siblings: Jerry Williams, Mary Woods, Luther Williams, Lula Garrison, and Betty Wilborn; one aunt: Louise Dennis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
